Fall River, MA – If problems with your hips, knees, ankles, or feet are holding you back, bring your questions to free orthopedic talks sponsored by Saint Anne’s Hospital Center for Orthopedic Excellence in October. 

Programs in October include:

October 2: “Your Aching Feet (and Ankles),” with orthopedic surgeon Helena MeyerDr. Helena Meyer, DO, of Hawthorn Medical Associates. Dr. Meyer uses the latest non-surgical and surgical techniques to treat a wide variety of foot and ankle injuries and conditions, including flat and high arches, bunions, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendon problems, and much more. You’ll learn great tips, ranging from orthotics and physical therapy to surgical options. Location: White’s of Westport, 66 State Road (Route 6), Westport.Dr. Richard Smith

October 22: “Is Knee Pain Wearing You Down?” Join orthopedic surgeon Richard Smith, MD, of SMG Saint Anne’s Orthopedics, for a discussion of options in caring for painful knees. Learn about osteoarthritis, the range of non-surgical treatments, and the role of robotic-assisted Mako® technology in partial and total knee replacement. October 29: “How Robotic-assisted Technology Is Changing Hip and Knee Replacement. Orthopedic surgeon Jerald Katz, MD, of SMG Saint Anne’s Orthopedics, will explain types of joint pain, medical and other non-surgical treatments, and joint replacement procedures, including robotic-assisted Mako® for total hip replacement and partial and total knee replacement. Location: Venus de Milo, 75 GAR Highway (Route 6), Swansea.
