Fall River, MA – The Saint Anne’s Hospital Medical Staff invites applications for four scholarships for area students pursuing education in health and medicine in the 2018-2019 academic year. All honor distinguished physicians who were long associated with Saint Anne’s Hospital.

This year’s awards include the following.

• $3,000: The Azhar Q. Mustafa, MD, Memorial Scholarship for students in the community who are entering or pursuing a degree in nursing, allied health or other health care profession at an accredited college, university, technical school, etc.

• $3,000: The H. Ivan Duran, MD, Memorial Scholarship for students who are members of the greater Saint Anne’s Hospital family (employee, family member of employee, medical staff family member), and entering or pursuing a degree in nursing, allied health or other health care profession at an accredited college, university, technical school, etc.

• $1,000: The Malcolm W. MacDonald, MD, Memorial Scholarship for pre-med, medical, or nursing students, or individuals entering or pursuing a degree in allied health or other health care profession at an accredited college, university, technical school, etc.

• $250: The H. Ivan Duran M.D., Memorial Scholarship Award for clinical laboratory students, medical students, or individuals entering or pursuing a degree in allied health or other health care profession at an accredited college, university, technical school, etc.

Deadline for submission of all applications is 4:00 p.m., April 30, 2018.
