Fall River, Mass. – Saint Anne’s Hospital has been awarded first place as “Best Hospital” in the Massachusetts South Coast region as part of the “Best of the Best” Official People’s Choice Awards program sponsored by the New Bedford Standard-Times and the SouthCoast Media Group.

More than 57,000 votes were cast in 123 categories of business, from beauty, entertainment and dining, to education, health and community services.

Saint Anne’s President Michael Bushell noted that the award’s significance “means that our reputation as a high-quality provider of compassionate, safe, effective health care is growing throughout the entire South Coast region.

“This reputation is based on the work that all of us at Saint Anne’s – employees, medical staff, ambassadors, leadership, and the board of directors – are committed to performing at a top level each and every day.
