Fall River, Mass. – The Saint Anne’s Hospital Medical Staff invites applications for two $3,000 scholarships for area students pursuing education in health care in the 2017-2018 academic year. Both honor distinguished physicians associated with Saint Anne’s Hospital.

This year’s scholarships include:

For members of the Saint Anne’s Hospital family: The Majed Mouded, M.D., Scholarship Award. Board certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, Dr. Mouded has been a member of the Saint Anne's Hospital medical staff since 1975. Candidates for this scholarship must meet the following criteria:

1.      A member of the greater Saint Anne’s Hospital family: employee, family member of employee, or medical staff family member.

2.      Entering or pursuing a degree in nursing, allied health or other health care profession at an accredited college, university, technical school, etc.

3.      A graduating high school senior or currently enrolled student.

4.      Completion of the 2017 Majed Mouded, M.D., Scholarship application. Download this application here.

5.      Able to use the award during the 2017-2018 academic year.

For students in the community (those not associated with Saint Anne’s Hospital): The Harvey Reback, M.D., Scholarship Award.  Dr. Reback joined the Saint Anne's Hospital medical staff in 1965 and retired as an honorary member in 2016. Candidates for this must meet the following criteria:

1.      A resident of the Greater Fall River area, including Assonet, Berkley, Dighton, Fall River, Freetown, Rehoboth, Swansea, Somerset, or Westport, MA, as well as Tiverton and Little Compton, RI.

2.      Entering or pursuing a degree in nursing, allied health or other health care profession at an accredited college, university, technical school, etc. 

3.      A graduating high school senior or currently enrolled student.

4.      Completion of the 2017 Harvey Reback, M.D., Scholarship application. Download this application here.
