Be skin-smart this summer!
Sponsored by Saint Anne’s Hospital Regional Cancer Center in conjunction with the American Academy of Dermatology, this 23rd annual skin cancer screening at the Hudner Oncology Center is a visual screening designed to examine specific areas of concern.
The American Cancer Society advises a skin cancer screening if you notice:
- any change on the skin, especially in the size or color of a mole or other darkly pigmented growth or spot, or a new growth
- scaliness, oozing, bleeding, or change in the appearance of a bump or nodule
- the spread of pigmentation beyond its border such as dark coloring that spreads past the edge of a mole or mark
- a change in sensation, itchiness, tenderness, or pain
Appointments are available on two days: May 22 and May 23. Please note that advance appointments are required. (No walk-ins, please.)
To schedule an appointment, please call Saint Anne’s Hospital Cancer Registry, 508-674-5600, ext. 2185, 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday.
