Medical professionals invited to attend Saint Anne’s Hospital Regional Cancer Center’s annual spring oncology symposium

Noted speakers to present a variety of topics

Fall River, MA – Saint Anne’s Hospital Regional Cancer Center invites physicians, nurses and other medical professionals to its annual Spring Oncology Symposium on Thursday, May 7, 2015, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Rachel’s Lakeside, 950 State Road (Route 6), Dartmouth.

Designed for all health care professionals, including physicians, nurses, radiation therapists, and others who care for cancer patients, this symposium’s presentations will include:

  • “Advances in Radiation for Localized Rectal Cancer,” with Neil E. Martin, MD, MPH, of the Department of Radiation Oncology, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston
  • “Making an Informed Decision About Medical Marijuana Certification,” with Lida Nabati, MD, of the Dept. of Psychosocial Oncology and Palliative Care, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston
  • “Surgical Options for Hepatocellular Carcinoma,” with Scott Johnson, MD, of Steward Surgical Group, St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Boston
