Community and Social Work Services

Social workers at Saint Anne's Hospital work with inpatients, outpatients and family members, as well as others in the community. Our social workers help patients and their families cope with the circumstances and effects of illness, disease, and injury. They provide crisis intervention, hospital counseling, and information and referral services.

Saint Anne's social workers provide a number of specialized services and support and educational groups, including:

  • Support and education groups for patients and their families, provided by experienced social work and other clinical staff.  Support groups are offered at no cost for those with cancer, diabetes, lymphedema, and other conditions.
  • Advocacy and outreach for those seeking community resources.
  • The Youth Trauma Program provides evaluation and counseling services to child/adolescent victims of sexual, physical abuse and other trauma, including experiencing violence at home, among peers, or in the community.  Learn More.
